Need help deciding on size

Hi -

I'm having trouble deciding which size to pick. My 35.75 inch bust suggests that a small would be best for the body (Iwould like it to be close-fitting), but my 20 inch pit-to-pit says go for the medium.

Maybe medium sleeves and small body as has been mentioned in another post? Maybe medium sleeves and change to smaller needles for the body? Or maybe live dangerously and just do a straight-on small?

I'll make a final decision after I swatch (I'm waiting for my Knitpicks Elegance in black and fawn to arrive), but I'd appreciate any words of wisdom...
